In September 2021, the SWLE Project hosted the first of its kind Police Social Work Academy out of the Connecticut Police Academy in Meriden, CT. The intensive 40-hour training received high training ranks, with 90-100% approval ratings from social work interns, university professors, social workers, and law enforcement officers from across the state to be trained.
